Bubba Goodman is the owner and founder of Coastal Edge LLC, where he combines a lifetime of agricultural expertise with a passion for creating beautiful, healthy landscapes along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

A native of Yazoo City, Mississippi, Bubba was born and raised in the Delta as part of a long-established farming family. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Mississippi in 2006, he returned home to help manage the family’s farming operation, continuing a legacy deeply rooted in Mississippi agriculture.

Bubba’s knowledge of plant health and crop management spans multiple generations. His late grandfather, Oscar Goodman, was among the first entomologists serving the Mississippi Delta and founded Goodman Chemical Company in the 1980s, providing agricultural chemical expertise to farmers throughout the region. Growing up in this environment gave Bubba an appreciation for the science behind healthy plants, soils, and sustainable land management.

With more than 20 years of hands-on farming experience, Bubba has managed the production of cotton, corn, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sod. Throughout his career, he has overseen more than 500,000 acres of herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide applications, while developing extensive expertise in soil sampling, fertility management, and customized fertilizer recommendations.

He is licensed and bonded through the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce’s Plant Industry Bureau (formerly the Mississippi Plant Board), reflecting his commitment to professionalism and industry best practices.

Before relocating to the Gulf Coast, Bubba worked for TriGreen Equipment, a John Deere dealership in Franklin, Tennessee, where he partnered with homeowners as well as many of the nation’s premier landscape professionals. That experience broadened his understanding of residential lawn care, landscape maintenance, and the equipment and techniques required to achieve exceptional results.

When his wife’s career brought their family to Ocean Springs, Bubba transformed his lifelong knowledge of plant science into a passion for residential landscaping and premium lawn care. What began as a hobby quickly became a sought-after service as neighbors and friends noticed the exceptional quality of his work.

Through word of mouth and a reputation for dependable service, Coastal Edge was born.

Today, Bubba is dedicated to helping homeowners achieve lush, healthy lawns and thoughtfully designed landscapes through knowledgeable, science-based practices and personalized service. His agricultural background, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence set Coastal Edge apart, ensuring every property receives the same level of care and expertise that has defined his family’s legacy for generations.

Bubba and his wife, Haley, live in Ocean Springs with their two children, Anne Archer and Kent.
